One of imperceptible aspects of urban life is intellectual and moral legacy, collective memories of any nation and values which could be the source of inspiration, ::::union::::. Power and hope should be conserved. Clearly, Iranian traditional urban space (in city scale, it includes the main passages, grand mosque area, bazzar and other attachments and in district scale, it consists of tekye and hoseynieh or holy places to mourn for Imam Hussein) could not be comparable with west standards of urban space. Urban life continues to survive in urban space and events and occasions happens in this space. Urban space always has considered as a place for social interactions of citizens in order to have cities stability. Shape and qualitative values of Iranian traditional urban space has a special worth and we need to study it to obtain better understanding of emotional and perceptual world of our society and to redesign it. In this regard, using context analyzing method, this study will start to consider Iranian traditional urban space and concepts such as realms and limit hierarchy and discuss about how collective memories and historical memory of city conserve via silent but visual words of urban structure and finally this text continues with some suggestions about these concepts application. Here, there is no retrospective and nostalgic view. Actually this wrathful heritage which we speak about is superficial form of our culture – culture which is the basis and foundation of society and its life conservator. We conserve the past in order to conceive its contents and values and to generalize it to the future, because to create a radical future, we need to value to the praiseworthy past. |
